Based in one of the country’s foremost and best preserved medieval towns Calvert Brain & Fraulo Ltd are specialists in the conservation and repair of historic buildings, specifically structural defects arising from water ingress, settlement and the decomposition of timbers and other materials. Typical work focuses on cracking in historic walls, sympathetic repairs and stabilisation of timber structures, floors and roofs.
Our philosophy, in line with conservation principles, is that all remaining historic components are retained for future providence, repairing and making good where possible or providing additional new structure where necessary utilizing traditional materials and methods of workmanship in close liaison with the local conservation department of the Borough Council at all times.
